Powder Poll Voting Still On at Powder.com

Wednesday, December 19, 2007 - After screening through more than 30 ski movies, consulting a panel of experts, hundreds of hours of deliberation, and a few fistfights, POWDER Magazine is pleased to announce the nominees for the 2008 Powder Video Awards presented by Jeep.

Nominees were chosen in 12 of 13 categories, and each was selected from a strict criterion, including innovation, difficulty, athleticism, creativity and film quality. Winners will be announced on Saturday, January 26, 2008 during ESPN Winter X Games, at Aspen’s historic Hotel Jerome.

The awards will be announced live at the show, which will be held for the fourth consecutive year at the historic Hotel Jerome in downtown Aspen. Known as the Academy Awards of ski film, the Powder Video Awards and Reader Poll recognizes the year’s best performances and cinematography in ski films.
