Cycling front and center for both resorts this summer with road and mountain
biking competitions


Enjoying one of the best winter seasons in Colorado, Winter Park Resort and
Copper Mountain are offering mid season packages, just in time for spring
skiing. If you are looking toward summer editorial, both resorts are known
for their quality cycling events attracting road and mountain bike
enthusiasts.

Mid Season Packages and Programs

WINTER PARK - SKI & RIDE SCHOOL DEALS AT $49 AND UP - The best way to learn
and progress are the three-day Easy Start Adult Lessons for ages 13 and up,
including lesson, rentals and lift tickets for $147. Info: 800-729-7907.

WINTER PARK - KIDS SKI & RIDE SCHOOL DEALS AT $99 AND UP - Snow enthusiasts
can take advantage of spring savings on kids lessons at $99 and up from
March 24 through the end of the season. Includes lesson, rentals and lift

COPPER - SAVE 25% ON MARCH LIFT AND LODGING - Guests visiting March 2 - 13
save more than 25 percent on lift tickets and lodging for two people and
will pay $275 per night in a silver one bedroom. Rate based on two adult
lift tickets. Minimum four-night stay required. Starting from rate based
on March 3 to 9 arrival dates in a silver 1-bedroom unit. Rates subject to

COPPER - KIDS NIGHT OUT - On Tuesday Nights, Pizza Carlo lets kids make
their own pizza at the pizza bar, while parents enjoy the nightlife.
Copper's chefs provide the dough and the "junior chefs" add the toppings.

Summer Cycling

WINTER PARK - CRANKWORX COLORADO - Mountain Bike Festival, July 31- Aug. 3.
Crankworx Colorado is a four-day freeride mountain bike festival including
competitions in Slopestyle, Big Air, Cross Country, and Super Downhill.
Originating in Whistler Blackcomb Canada, Crankworx Mountain bike festivals
feature the best freeriding mountain bikers from around the world.

WINTER PARK - MOUNTAIN BIKE SUMMIT, August 1-2 - Held in conjunction with
Crankworx, sessions are designed to help mountain bike advocates develop
achievable goals for improving Colorado mountain biking. Sponsored by
Bicycle Colorado, Int'l Mountain Bike Assn., Bureau of Land Mgmt, and the
U.S. Forest Service.

COPPER COURAGE CLASSIC, July 25-28 - Guests may travel for a cause with the
19th annual Courage Classic, a three-day, 157-mile bike tour benefitting The
Children's Hospital Foundation in Denver. Route leads from Leadville to
Summit County and back with quiet backcountry roads, challenging climbs and

COPPER TRIANGLE BICYCLE TOUR, August 1-3 - The Copper Triangle benefits the
Davis Phinney Foundation which is aimed at understanding, preventing, and
treating Parkinson's disease. The Tour is one of Colorado's classic alpine
road rides and is graced with 78 miles of breathtaking scenery, gorgeous
