Snowmass Village, CO - Although Snowmass is synonymous with
outdoor adventure and recreation, its best-kept secret is a lively and
innovative arts scene. The Snowmass Summer of Free Music Series on July 31
kicks off a weekend dedicated to arts of all mediums. With two free outdoor
concerts, a live outdoor theater performance, the decades-old Mountain
Masterpieces Arts Fair, and the chance to preview Anderson Ranch Arts
Center's famed auction artwork, this weekend packs something for everyone.

Schedule

Thursday, July 31: The Snowmass Summer of Free Music Series presents a free
concert on Fanny Hill with Bonerama. This untraditional New Orleans brass
band evokes funk, classic rock and free improvisation. Bonerama has been
hailed by Rolling Stone and Offbeat magazine and recognized as "Best Rock
Band" at the Big Easy Awards 2007, while regularly setting the New Orleans
club scene afire. 6 p.m, rain or shine, Fanny Hill.

Saturday-Sunday, August 2-3: The Mountain Masterpieces Arts Fair gathers
over 40 artists on the Snowmass Village Mall for a decades-old Snowmass
tradition that showcases beautiful works of art. Items range from
inexpensive to extravagant and from photographs and pottery to clothes,
jewelry, and high-end works. While parents browse, kids can watch Chris
Sidwell and Eric Roberts perform mind-boggling feats of magic along with
artistic performances and kid's craft activities with Jammin' Jim. FREE to
attend. Saturday 11:00am-6:00pm & Sunday 10:00am-4pm.

Saturday, August 2: Massive Music celebrates its fifth anniversary and
presents a free concert by The Outlaws. Following in the footsteps of such
great bands as The Allman Brothers and The Eagles, The Outlaws have
developed their own high-powered, guitar-driven, country-rock sound with
hints of blues and boogie since the early 1970s. With exhilarating
self-penned music and stellar three-part harmony, The Outlaws have
established themselves as premier players in the Southern Rock genre with
popular songs such as "Hurry Sundown," "Green Grass & High Tides," and
"There Goes Another Love Song." From riveting hard rock to lilting country
ballads, the Outlaws promise a night harkening back to stomping hell-raising
hoedowns. 7 p.m., Fanny Hill, rain or shine.

Sunday, August 3: Fame-The Musical. A Young People's Production presented by
Gottlieb Bartley Productions, Inc. Sixty kids, ages 5-11, from all over the
Roaring Fork Valley perform their version of Fame the Musical, an
inspirational story of a diverse group of talented young students studying
at the New York School of the Performing Arts during the early 1980's. For
tickets ($12, Adults $15), call (970) 927-0555 in advance or purchase at the
event. 7 p.m., Fanny Hill.

Sunday, August 3 - Tuesday, August 5: Anderson Ranch Arts Center

The internationally renowned Anderson Ranch Arts Center gears up for its
famed art auction on August 9, which features live and silent auctions of
over 225 pieces of work by national, international, and local artists. Check
out the free Artist Slide Talk at 7 pm on Sunday and Tuesday at Schermer
Meeting Hall, or stroll through the studio, gallery, and picturesque 5-acre
campus. On Tuesday, check out the Auction Preview Exhibition reception from
5-6:30 pm. For more information, visit www.andersonranch.org or call (970)
